Visit Venice’s most famous islands, Murano and Burano to learn their importance in history and trade. Your private English-speaking assistant will meet you in the hotel lobby, ready to embark on this journey in history with you.
The first stop will be in Murano, famous worldwide since the 1200’s for the art of glass- making, where you will visit one of Venice’s most important glass factories and have a private showing of how the intricate glasswork is made. Then, you will take a private water taxi, to reach a unique place, Venissa. Venissa is a wine resort, a restaurant, but first of all is a vineyard…on the water.
You will be enchanted by the silence and the tranquillity of this special place, delighted by its wine and food…and amazed by its history, an experience not to miss.
After lunch, you will cross a small bridge, ready to discover Burano, a fisherman island known for its brightly coloured houses and for its lace school. You will have the chance to see and meet the ladies who still master this antique technique of handmade lace-making.
Your private guide will then escort you back to the hotel.
